Chadley Truxton Wallace was born in 1970 in Philadelphia , Pennsylvania , in the north of the United States . He spent the majority of his youth in Dallas , Texas , where he fell in love with nature, adventure, and art.
Chad 's background is in art; he has a special talent in combining beauty with practicality in everything he does. He began working officially in the area of design and construction in 1989 in Dallas , Texas .
Chad studied Civil Engineering and Construction Management at Texas A&M University . Between 1989 and 1995, he worked in various cities in Texas and Colorado , making furniture and designing and implementing special projects in homes, gardens and cabins. In August of 1995, Chad moved to the Dominican Republic with his wife, Krista Adams Wallace, to lead the development of the camping program for Young Life International.
They lived in Santo Domingo for almost six years before moving to Jarabacoa, where Chad built the Young Life camp, Pico Escondido, and where he and Krista eventually founded Doulos Discovery School . During all of these years in the Dominican Republic , Chad was dedicated to developing a comprehensive design and construction business for people who demand the highest quality as well as honest and personal service.
